1. Introduction

SHLA is a social content-sharing platform organized around user-created and user-managed communities called "Shelas." Within the Service, users may create accounts, build profiles, form or join Shelas, publish posts, share photos and videos, send voice messages, comment on and react to content, engage in private chat within communities, receive notifications, and report content or users that violate these Terms or applicable law.

This document explains the rules that govern your use of the Service, the rights you retain in the content you create, the rights you grant to SHLA to operate the Service, and the circumstances under which SHLA may take moderation action, suspend, or terminate your access. Because SHLA is a communications and publishing platform used by many people simultaneously, these Terms exist to protect users, protect the integrity of the Service, and set out clearly what each party can expect from the other.

SHLA is initially launched in Egypt and intends to expand to additional countries and regions over time. These Terms are designed to operate coherently across jurisdictions while remaining governed, as a matter of contract law, by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, as set out in Section 83.

SHLA is built as a platform for genuine, community-driven interaction. The value of the Service depends heavily on the trust that users place in one another and in the platform itself: trust that the people they interact with are who they claim to be, that the content they see was created and shared in good faith, and that community administrators and SHLA's own moderation processes will act fairly and consistently. These Terms are drafted with that trust in mind, and they should be read together with any Community Guidelines or supplemental policies SHLA publishes to give practical effect to the principles described here.

Certain terms used throughout this document carry a specific meaning: "Shela" refers to a community space within the Service; "User Content" refers to any material a user submits to the Service, as further defined in Section 27; and "Service" refers collectively to the SHLA mobile applications, website, and all associated features and infrastructure.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, registering for, or otherwise using the Service in any manner, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, together with any other policies referenced herein, including any Community Guidelines, Privacy Policy, or supplemental rules SHLA may publish from time to time (collectively, the "Policies"). The Policies are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, community, or other entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and "you" will refer to both you individually and that entity.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Service and, where applicable, delete your account in accordance with Section 54.

3. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must be able to form a legally binding contract under the laws applicable to you. You represent and warrant that: (a) you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms; (b) you are not barred from using the Service under the laws of Egypt, your country of residence, or any other applicable jurisdiction; (c) you are not located in, or a national or resident of, any country or region subject to comprehensive trade sanctions where use of the Service would be unlawful, except to the extent permitted under Section 76; and (d) the information you provide to SHLA during registration and thereafter is accurate, current, and complete.

SHLA reserves the right to refuse registration, suspend, or terminate accounts where these eligibility requirements are not met.

4. Age Requirements

The Service is not directed at, and may not be used by, individuals under the age of 13. Users who are between the age of 13 and the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on the user's behalf.

SHLA does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If SHLA becomes aware that an account has been created by, or contains personal data belonging to, a child under the applicable minimum age without appropriate consent, SHLA reserves the right to suspend the account and delete the associated data, subject to applicable legal retention requirements.

Where local law in a given jurisdiction sets a higher minimum age for use of social platforms or for processing personal data without parental consent, that higher minimum age applies to users in that jurisdiction.

5. User Accounts

To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, including a valid email address, and to keep this information up to date. You may only maintain one personal account unless SHLA expressly authorizes additional accounts (for example, for testing, business, or administrative purposes).

You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you personally authorized that activity, except where such activity results from a security failure attributable to SHLA. You agree to notify SHLA promptly at shelaaeg@gmail.com if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.

SHLA may, at its discretion, decline to open an account, or may suspend or close an existing account, where the information provided is false, misleading, incomplete, or where the account is created for a purpose that violates these Terms.

6. Email Verification

Account registration requires verification of the email address supplied at sign-up. SHLA uses Supabase Authentication to issue and validate email verification links, and Resend to deliver verification and transactional emails. Certain features of the Service, including posting content, joining or creating Shelas, and sending messages, may be restricted or unavailable until your email address has been successfully verified.

You are responsible for ensuring that the email address associated with your account is accurate, accessible to you, and capable of receiving messages from SHLA's email service provider. SHLA is not responsible for verification failures caused by incorrect email addresses, spam filtering, or third-party email provider issues outside SHLA's control.

7. Google Login

SHLA allows users to register and authenticate using "Sign in with Google." If you choose this method, you authorize SHLA to receive certain basic profile information from your Google account (such as your name, email address, and profile picture) as permitted by Google's authentication protocols and consented to by you at the time of login. SHLA's use of this information is governed by SHLA's Privacy Policy.

Your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google's own terms of service and privacy policy, over which SHLA has no control. If you revoke SHLA's access to your Google account through your Google account settings, you may lose the ability to log in via that method and may need to use an alternative authentication method, where available, to continue accessing your SHLA account.

8. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including any password, authentication tokens, or session identifiers associated with your account. You agree to: (a) use a strong, unique password if registering directly with SHLA; (b) not share your credentials with any third party; (c) not permit any other person to access the Service using your account, except where SHLA has expressly implemented shared or delegated access features (such as community administrator roles); (d) log out of shared or public devices after each session; and (e) notify SHLA immediately at shelaaeg@gmail.com of any suspected compromise of your account.

SHLA employs reasonable technical and organizational measures, including those provided by its infrastructure partners described in Section 57, to protect account data. However, no system is completely secure, and SHLA cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches will never occur. Section 72 (Limitation of Liability) applies to any losses arising from unauthorized account access not caused by SHLA's gross negligence or willful misconduct.

9. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your conduct on the Service and for any content that you create, upload, post, transmit, or share, including text posts, images, videos, voice messages, comments, chat messages, profile pictures, and community assets (collectively, "User Content"). You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms, the Community Guidelines (where published), and any Shela-specific rules established by community administrators consistent with these Terms.

You are responsible for obtaining any consents, permissions, or rights necessary to share User Content, including the consent of any identifiable individuals depicted in photos, videos, or voice recordings you upload. This includes, where applicable, obtaining consent from any other person whose voice or likeness appears in content you upload, and ensuring you have the right to share any content that was originally created by a third party.

You are also responsible for the accuracy of any information you provide about yourself, other users, or the communities you participate in. Providing knowingly false information in connection with your account, a report, an appeal, or a dispute may itself constitute a violation of these Terms and may result in moderation action, independent of the underlying subject matter of the false information.

Because SHLA operates a platform used simultaneously by a large number of individuals, you further agree to exercise reasonable judgment before posting content that could be interpreted as sensitive, and to consider the potential impact of your content on other members of the community before sharing it, particularly within Shelas oriented toward younger audiences, sensitive topics, or vulnerable populations.

10. Community Rules

Each Shela may adopt supplemental rules that apply to activity within that specific community, established by its administrators. Community-specific rules may not conflict with, weaken, or purport to override these Terms or SHLA's Community Guidelines. Where a conflict exists, these Terms prevail. Users are expected to comply both with these Terms and with the specific rules of any Shela they join.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose: to connect with others, participate in communities, and share and engage with content in a manner that is lawful, respectful, and consistent with these Terms. Acceptable use includes creating original content, engaging constructively in discussions, and reporting content or conduct that you believe violates these Terms.

You agree not to use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair SHLA's servers or networks, or interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of the Service.

12. Prohibited Conduct

Without limiting the generality of Section 11, you agree not to, and not to assist or encourage any third party to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person; (c) upload, post, or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable; (d) harass, bully, stalk, threaten, or intimidate any person; (e) impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity; (f) engage in spamming, unsolicited advertising, or fraudulent schemes; (g) upload malicious code, viruses, or software designed to disrupt or damage systems; (h) attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or network connected to the Service; (i) scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service using automated means without SHLA's prior written consent; (j) circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the Service; or (k) use the Service to generate, distribute, or facilitate access to content that sexually exploits or endangers minors, which will be reported to the relevant authorities where legally required.

Any violation of this Section may result in moderation action as described in Sections 49 through 53.

Platform Integrity. In addition to the specific prohibitions above, you agree not to engage in any conduct that undermines the integrity, reliability, or trustworthiness of the Service as a whole. This includes manipulating trending or discovery features through coordinated or automated activity, creating networks of accounts to simulate independent user behavior, exploiting bugs or unintended functionality for personal advantage rather than reporting them responsibly, or engaging in conduct designed to erode other users' trust in the authenticity of content, accounts, or communities on the Service. SHLA treats threats to platform integrity as seriously as it treats individual instances of abusive content, because the value of the Service to all users depends on the reasonable assurance that accounts, engagement, and communities are genuine.

Automation. Automated interaction with the Service, including through bots, scripts, browser extensions, or third-party tools not expressly authorized by SHLA, is prohibited except where SHLA has published or approved an official integration mechanism (such as a developer API, if and when made available). Authorized automation must still comply with all other provisions of these Terms, including rate limits, content standards, and prohibitions on spam and manipulation. SHLA reserves the right to detect and block automated traffic that it reasonably believes is unauthorized, without prior notice.

Fraudulent Behavior. You may not use the Service to engage in, facilitate, or benefit from fraudulent behavior directed at SHLA, other users, or third parties, including submitting false reports (see Section 48), providing fraudulent information during account registration or verification, manipulating community membership or engagement counts, or exploiting SHLA's moderation, appeals, or reporting systems in bad faith.

13. Illegal Activities

You may not use the Service to plan, promote, facilitate, or engage in any activity that is illegal under the laws of Egypt or the laws applicable to you in your place of residence, including but not limited to the sale of illegal goods or services, fraud, money laundering, trafficking, or the distribution of content prohibited by law. SHLA reserves the right to cooperate with law enforcement authorities and to disclose information about accounts engaged in illegal activity where required or permitted by applicable law.

14. Harassment

Harassment, including repeated unwanted contact, targeted degradation, coordinated pile-ons, doxxing (publishing another person's private information without consent), and content designed to demean or intimidate a specific individual or group, is strictly prohibited. This applies to public posts, comments, private chats, and voice messages alike.

15. Hate Speech

Content that promotes, incites, or glorifies hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or any other protected characteristic is prohibited on the Service. This includes hateful imagery, slurs used to demean, and content that dehumanizes individuals or groups based on these characteristics.

16. Violence

You may not use the Service to threaten, incite, glorify, or provide instructions for violent acts against individuals, groups, or property. Graphic depictions of violence intended to shock, glorify suffering, or intimidate others are prohibited. This does not restrict newsworthy or educational content shared responsibly and in context, subject to SHLA's discretion and applicable Community Guidelines.

17. Threats

Direct or veiled threats of harm against any person, group, or organization, including threats communicated through posts, comments, chats, or voice messages, are strictly prohibited and may be reported to law enforcement where SHLA believes there is a credible risk of harm.

18. Spam

You may not use the Service to post repetitive, unsolicited, or irrelevant content, including bulk messaging, coordinated inauthentic posting, artificial engagement (such as fake likes or reactions), or content designed primarily to manipulate visibility or engagement metrics on the platform.

19. Scams

You may not use the Service to conduct or promote fraudulent schemes, including phishing, fake giveaways, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, deceptive financial offers, or any scheme designed to deceive users into providing money, credentials, or personal information under false pretenses.

20. Impersonation

You may not create an account or Shela that impersonates another individual, brand, or organization in a manner intended to deceive, nor may you misrepresent your identity or affiliation in a way likely to mislead other users, except in the case of clearly labeled parody, satire, or fan content that does not create a reasonable likelihood of confusion.

21. Malware

You may not upload, distribute, or link to files, code, or content that contains viruses, worms, trojans, ransomware, spyware, or any other malicious software, nor may you exploit or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities in the Service or its underlying infrastructure.

22. Account Abuse

You may not create multiple accounts to evade moderation actions, manipulate engagement, or circumvent restrictions placed on a prior account. You may not buy, sell, rent, or transfer your account to another person, nor use bots, scripts, or other automated means to interact with the Service except where SHLA has expressly authorized such use (for example, through an approved API or integration).

23. Community (Shela) Rules

A "Shela" is a community space within the Service that users may create around a shared topic, interest, or purpose. Shelas may be public (open to discovery and joining by any user) or private (accessible only by invitation or approval), depending on the settings chosen by the community's creator or administrators.

Creating a Shela does not grant its creator or administrators any ownership interest in the Service itself; it grants only the administrative privileges described in Section 25, exercised subject to these Terms.

24. Community Ownership

The individual who creates a Shela is generally recognized as its primary administrator ("Owner") and may assign additional administrator or moderator roles to other users. Administrative control over a Shela may be transferred between users through mechanisms provided within the Service. SHLA does not guarantee the permanence of any Shela and reserves the right to remove, merge, rename, or restrict access to a Shela where necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, or comply with applicable law.

25. Community Administrators

Administrators and moderators of a Shela are responsible for reasonably enforcing these Terms and any supplemental community rules within their Shela, including reviewing reported content, removing violating posts or comments, and managing membership. Administrator privileges are a delegation of limited responsibility, not an agency relationship; administrators are not employees, agents, or representatives of SHLA, and SHLA is not responsible for administrators' independent decisions except to the extent those decisions are made using tools provided by SHLA in a manner consistent with the Service's intended functionality.

SHLA reserves the right to remove administrative privileges from any user who abuses them, fails to enforce these Terms within their Shela, or uses their position to harm other users.

Administrators are expected to act in good faith when exercising their moderation tools, including the ability to remove members, delete posts or comments within their Shela, and set community-specific rules. Administrators must not use these tools to suppress legitimate speech that does not violate these Terms or applicable community rules, to retaliate against members for personal disagreements unrelated to conduct, or to extract any benefit from members in exchange for preferential treatment within the community. Where SHLA determines that an administrator has used their privileges in a manner inconsistent with this Section, SHLA may reverse the relevant actions, reassign administrative control of the Shela to another member, or take any other action described in Sections 49 through 53.

Administrators are encouraged, but not required, to publish clear rules for their Shela so that members understand what is and is not permitted within that specific community, in addition to these Terms.

26. Community Moderation

In addition to community-level moderation performed by administrators, SHLA reserves the right to review, moderate, restrict, or remove content and accounts across any Shela, at its sole discretion, where necessary to enforce these Terms, respond to legal obligations, or protect the safety and integrity of the Service. SHLA's moderation authority is not limited or excluded by any action or inaction of a Shela's administrators.

27. User Generated Content

"User Generated Content" includes all posts, comments, images, videos, voice messages, chat messages, profile pictures, community banners, community profile pictures, and any other material you submit to the Service. You are solely responsible for your User Generated Content and for ensuring that it complies with these Terms and applicable law.

SHLA does not pre-screen all User Generated Content before it becomes visible to other users, and the views expressed in User Generated Content are those of the individual user, not of SHLA. SHLA's decision to allow content to remain on the Service, or to take no action following a report, should not be understood as an endorsement of that content's accuracy, quality, or appropriateness. Similarly, the removal of content under these Terms does not necessarily imply that the content was unlawful, only that SHLA determined, in its discretion, that the content did not comply with these Terms or applicable community rules.

You acknowledge that other users may create, share, or interact with content that you find objectionable, offensive, or inaccurate, and that SHLA's role in moderating such content is subject to the limitations, discretion, and procedures described throughout these Terms.

28. Ownership of User Content

As between you and SHLA, you retain all ownership rights, including intellectual property rights, in the User Content you create and upload to the Service. SHLA does not claim ownership of your User Content. Your ownership is subject only to the license you grant SHLA under Section 29, which is necessary for SHLA to operate the Service.

29. License Granted to SHLA

By submitting User Content to the Service, you grant SHLA a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, cache, reproduce, process, adapt, modify (for technical purposes such as format conversion or compression), display, perform, transmit, and distribute your User Content, solely to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, provide, maintain, secure, improve, and promote the Service (for example, displaying your post to other users, generating thumbnails, sending push notifications referencing your content, or featuring public content within the Service's own promotional materials with appropriate context).

This license does not transfer ownership of your content, does not grant SHLA the right to sell your content to third parties for their independent use, and terminates with respect to specific content when you delete that content, subject to Section 30 (Public Content) regarding content already shared, reshared, or cached, and Section 55 regarding backup retention.

30. Public Content

Content that you post to public areas of the Service, or to a public Shela, may be viewed, and where the Service permits, shared or reshared by other users. You acknowledge that public content may be indexed, cached, or otherwise made accessible outside the immediate context in which it was posted, and that removal from your own account does not guarantee removal of copies made by other users prior to deletion, to the extent such copies were made using features SHLA provides (such as screenshots, which SHLA cannot technically prevent).

31. Private Content

Content posted within private Shelas, private chats, or otherwise designated as non-public is intended to be visible only to the members of the relevant private space. SHLA implements access controls to restrict visibility of private content to authorized members; however, SHLA cannot guarantee that members of a private space will not copy, screenshot, or redistribute content outside that space, and SHLA is not responsible for such redistribution by other users.

32. Chat Messages

Chat functionality within the Service enables private communication among members of a community. Chat messages are subject to these Terms in the same manner as other User Content. SHLA does not routinely monitor private chat content but reserves the right to access, review, and act on chat content where necessary to investigate a report, enforce these Terms, or comply with a legal obligation, in accordance with SHLA's Privacy Policy.

33. Voice Messages

Users may upload or send voice messages within the Service. Voice messages are treated as User Content and are subject to the same ownership, license, and content standards as other forms of content. You represent that you have the right to record and share the voice content you upload, including the consent of any other identifiable speakers where required by applicable law.

34. Media Uploads

Photos and videos uploaded to the Service are stored using Cloudflare R2 object storage infrastructure, as described in Section 60. You are responsible for ensuring that any media you upload does not infringe third-party rights, does not violate these Terms, and does not contain content prohibited under Sections 12 through 22.

SHLA may apply automated or manual processing to uploaded media, including format conversion, compression, resizing, or content-safety scanning, solely for purposes of operating and securing the Service.

35. Community Images

Community banners and community profile pictures are treated as User Content submitted by the administrator who uploads them, on behalf of the Shela. Administrators are responsible for ensuring that community images comply with these Terms and do not infringe third-party rights.

36. Profile Pictures

Your profile picture is treated as User Content. You may not upload a profile picture that infringes another party's rights, impersonates another individual in violation of Section 20, or otherwise violates these Terms.

37. Comments

Comments posted in response to content on the Service are subject to the same content standards as posts. Community administrators may moderate comments within their Shela, and SHLA reserves independent authority to remove comments that violate these Terms.

38. Likes

The "like" feature allows users to express approval of or engagement with content. You agree not to use automated tools, bots, or coordinated schemes to artificially inflate like counts on your own or another user's content.

39. Reactions

Reactions (including emoji-based responses to messages and content) are provided as a lightweight engagement feature. Misuse of reactions to harass another user (for example, mass-reacting to intimidate or demean) is treated as a form of harassment under Section 14.

40. Notifications

SHLA sends in-app and, where enabled, push notifications relating to activity on your account, such as new comments, reactions, messages, and community updates. You may manage notification preferences within the Service's settings, subject to certain administrative or safety-related notifications that cannot be disabled.

41. Push Notifications

Push notifications are delivered using Firebase Cloud Messaging, as described in Section 59. Delivery of push notifications depends on your device settings, operating system permissions, and network connectivity, and SHLA does not guarantee delivery of any specific notification.

42. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service itself, including its software, design, look and feel, trademarks, logos, and underlying technology (excluding User Content), are and will remain the exclusive property of SHLA and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use SHLA's trademarks, logos, or brand features without SHLA's prior written consent.

43. Copyright

SHLA respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. Users may not upload, post, or share content that infringes the copyright of any third party. SHLA maintains a notice-and-removal procedure, described in Section 45, inspired by international copyright best practices, to address claims of copyright infringement.

44. Trademark

Users may not use SHLA's name, logo, or other brand features in a manner likely to cause confusion regarding sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement, and may not use the trademarks of third parties within the Service in a way that infringes those parties' rights.

45. Copyright Complaints and Takedown Procedure

If you believe that content available on the Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notice to shelaaeg@gmail.com that includes: (a) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (b) identification of the material you claim is infringing, including its location within the Service (such as a link or description sufficient to locate it); (c) your name, contact information, and a statement of your good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; (d) a statement, made under penalty of applicable law, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf; and (e) your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receipt of a valid notice, SHLA will review the complaint and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the identified content. SHLA will make reasonable efforts to notify the affected user, who may submit a counter-notice disputing the claim in accordance with a process SHLA will provide upon request at shelaaeg@gmail.com. This procedure is intended to reflect international best practices for addressing copyright complaints and does not constitute an admission that any specific jurisdiction's copyright takedown statute applies to SHLA.

46. Repeat Infringer Policy

SHLA will terminate, in appropriate circumstances and at its discretion, the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of third-party intellectual property rights, taking into account the number of valid complaints received, the severity of the infringement, and any counter-notices submitted.

47. Content Removal

SHLA reserves the right, but does not assume the obligation, to review, remove, disable access to, or restrict the visibility of any User Content that SHLA determines, in its sole discretion, violates these Terms, applicable law, or poses a risk to users or the Service, with or without prior notice.

48. Reporting Abuse

The Service provides in-app mechanisms for users to report content or accounts that they believe violate these Terms. Reports are reviewed by community administrators, SHLA's moderation team, or a combination of both, depending on the nature of the report and the settings of the relevant Shela.

Submitting a knowingly false report for the purpose of harassing another user, suppressing legitimate content, or abusing the reporting system is itself a violation of these Terms and may result in moderation action against the reporting account, as described in Section 49.

When you submit a report, SHLA or the relevant Shela's administrators will review the reported content or account against these Terms and any applicable community rules. Reports involving potential illegal activity, threats to physical safety, or child safety concerns are prioritized for review and may be escalated directly to SHLA's moderation team regardless of the Shela in which they occur, and may be referred to law enforcement where SHLA believes such referral is warranted or legally required.

SHLA does not guarantee a specific response time for any report, and the volume of reports received may affect review timelines. Reporters will generally be informed of the outcome of their report where technically feasible, although SHLA is not obligated to disclose the specific moderation action taken against another user's account, consistent with SHLA's Privacy Policy and applicable data protection principles.

Repeated submission of unfounded reports against the same user or Shela, particularly where the pattern suggests an intent to harass rather than a genuine belief that a violation occurred, may result in restrictions on the reporting account's ability to submit further reports, in addition to any other moderation action described in Section 49.

49. Moderation Actions

Where SHLA or a Shela's administrators determine that a user or piece of content has violated these Terms or applicable community rules, a range of moderation actions may be taken, proportionate to the nature and severity of the violation, including but not limited to: content removal, warnings, feature restrictions (such as temporary limits on posting, commenting, or messaging), temporary suspension, removal from a specific Shela, and permanent account termination.

SHLA is not obligated to take any specific action in response to a report and retains sole discretion over the nature, timing, and scope of moderation actions taken directly by SHLA, as opposed to those taken by community administrators within their own Shela.

50. Temporary Suspension

SHLA or, within their own Shela, community administrators, may temporarily suspend a user's ability to access the Service or a specific Shela in response to a suspected or confirmed violation of these Terms, pending investigation, or as a proportionate response to a minor or first-time violation. Temporary suspensions may vary in duration depending on the severity of the conduct at issue.

51. Permanent Ban

SHLA reserves the right to permanently terminate a user's account where the user has committed a severe violation of these Terms (including but not limited to illegal activity, credible threats of violence, child safety violations, or severe or repeated harassment), has repeatedly violated these Terms after prior warnings or suspensions, or has engaged in conduct that poses a significant risk to the safety, security, or integrity of the Service or its users.

52. Community Removal

SHLA reserves the right to remove an entire Shela, including all associated content, where the Shela is created or used primarily to violate these Terms, facilitate illegal activity, or cause harm to users, regardless of whether individual administrators were directly responsible for the violating content.

53. Content Removal Rights

In addition to removal for Terms violations, SHLA reserves the right to remove content in response to valid legal process, government requests where legally binding, or technical necessity (such as content that threatens the stability or security of the Service), consistent with applicable law.

54. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the account settings within the Service, or by contacting shelaaeg@gmail.com. Account deletion is a significant action: once confirmed, your profile, and the content directly associated with your personal account, will be scheduled for removal from the Service in accordance with Section 55.

55. What Happens After Deletion

Upon deletion, your profile and personally identifiable account information will be removed from active display on the Service within a reasonable period. Content you posted within Shelas or shared with other users (such as comments on other users' posts, or messages sent in shared chats) may remain visible where its removal would materially affect the integrity of a conversation or community, subject to anonymization of your identity where technically feasible.

Deleted content and account data may persist for a limited period in backup systems, caches, or logs maintained for security, legal compliance, or disaster-recovery purposes, even after removal from the live Service. SHLA will not use such retained backup data for any purpose other than legal compliance, security, or service restoration, and will delete it from backups in the ordinary course of backup rotation.

56. Inactive Accounts

SHLA reserves the right to designate accounts that have not been accessed for an extended period (as defined in SHLA's then-current Privacy Policy or account inactivity policy) as inactive, and to take appropriate action with respect to such accounts, which may include notification to the registered email address, restriction of certain features, or, following reasonable notice, deletion of the account in accordance with Section 54 and 55.

57. Third Party Services

The Service relies on infrastructure and services provided by third-party vendors to function. Your use of the Service constitutes acknowledgment that certain data associated with your use, including account and content data, will be processed by these vendors as necessary to provide the Service, subject to SHLA's Privacy Policy and the applicable vendor's own terms and security practices.

58. Supabase

SHLA uses Supabase for user authentication (including email/password authentication, email verification, and Google Sign-In integration), database hosting (PostgreSQL), and realtime data synchronization features (such as live updates to chats, likes, and comments). Account credentials, verification tokens, and structured application data are processed and stored through Supabase's infrastructure.

59. Firebase

SHLA uses Firebase Cloud Messaging, a service provided by Google, to deliver push notifications to your device. This may involve the transmission of device tokens and notification content to Firebase's infrastructure for the sole purpose of delivering notifications.

60. Cloudflare

SHLA uses Cloudflare R2 for the storage of media files uploaded by users, including photos, videos, voice messages, profile pictures, and community images. Uploaded media is stored and served through Cloudflare's infrastructure.

61. Resend

SHLA uses Resend to deliver transactional emails, including email verification messages, account notifications, and other service-related correspondence. Your email address is shared with Resend solely for the purpose of delivering these communications.

62. Service Availability

SHLA will use commercially reasonable efforts to keep the Service available and operational; however, SHLA does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. Access to the Service may be affected by factors outside SHLA's control, including issues affecting the third-party infrastructure providers described in Section 57.

SHLA may implement rate limiting, throttling, or other technical safeguards to protect the stability of the Service and to prevent abusive usage patterns, such as excessive automated requests, bulk content uploads inconsistent with ordinary use, or activity that SHLA reasonably believes is intended to degrade Service performance for other users. These safeguards are applied as a matter of technical necessity and do not constitute a waiver of any other right SHLA holds under these Terms.

63. Maintenance

SHLA may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance that temporarily limits or suspends access to the Service or specific features. Where feasible, SHLA will provide advance notice of planned maintenance that is expected to cause significant disruption.

64. Service Interruptions

SHLA is not liable for any loss or damage arising from temporary or extended interruptions to the Service, whether caused by technical failure, third-party infrastructure issues, cyberattacks, or other events beyond SHLA's reasonable control, subject to Section 72 and Section 74.

65. Beta Features

SHLA may, from time to time, offer experimental or "beta" features for testing purposes. Beta features are provided on an "as is" basis, may be modified, limited, or discontinued at any time without notice, and may be less stable or reliable than generally available features of the Service. Use of beta features is entirely at your own discretion and risk.

66. Feature Changes

SHLA reserves the right to add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice, provided that any such change does not materially reduce the rights you hold in your existing User Content beyond what is described in these Terms.

67. Termination by User

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in accordance with Section 54. Termination by you does not entitle you to any refund of amounts paid (if applicable at the relevant time) except as required by applicable law or as separately stated in any applicable purchase terms.

68. Termination by SHLA

SHLA may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time, for violation of these Terms, for conduct that SHLA reasonably believes is harmful to other users or to the Service, to comply with legal requirements, or, upon reasonable notice, for SHLA's legitimate business reasons, such as discontinuation of the Service. Where termination is not for cause, SHLA will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice.

69. Appeals Process

If your account or content is subject to a moderation action that you believe was made in error, you may submit an appeal through the mechanism provided within the Service, or by contacting shelaaeg@gmail.com, describing the action taken and the basis for your appeal. SHLA will review appeals in good faith but does not guarantee that any specific moderation decision will be reversed. Decisions regarding severe violations, including those involving illegal content or credible threats to safety, may not be eligible for appeal.

70. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. SHLA MAKES NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING RELIANCE ON ANY USER CONTENT, IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

71. No Warranty

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SHLA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SHLA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT CONTENT POSTED BY USERS IS ACCURATE, RELIABLE, OR LAWFUL.

72. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SHLA, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE, THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF SHLA HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SHLA'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SHLA, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) THE EQUIVALENT OF FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD 50).

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by SHLA's gross negligence or willful misconduct.

73. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SHLA, its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party. SHLA reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you.

74. Force Majeure

SHLA shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, internet or telecommunications failures, or failures of third-party infrastructure providers described in Section 57.

75. Export Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable export control and import laws and regulations in connection with your use of the Service. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a comprehensive embargo, and that you are not on any list of prohibited or restricted parties maintained by a competent governmental authority, except where your use is separately authorized under applicable law.

76. Sanctions

SHLA may restrict access to the Service in, or block registration from, jurisdictions or by parties subject to applicable trade or economic sanctions, where required to comply with applicable law. You represent that you are not, and are not owned or controlled by, any party identified on a relevant sanctions or restricted-party list.

77. Electronic Communications

By using the Service, you consent to receive communications from SHLA electronically, including via email, push notification, or in-app messaging. You agree that any notices, agreements, disclosures, or other communications sent electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communication be in writing, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

78. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Policies incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and SHLA regarding the Service and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, or proposals, whether oral or written, between you and SHLA relating to the Service.

79. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or tribunal of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions of these Terms remain in full force and effect.

80. Waiver

No failure or delay by SHLA in exercising any right, power, or remedy under these Terms shall operate as a waiver of that right, power, or remedy, nor shall any single or partial exercise preclude any further exercise or the exercise of any other right, power, or remedy.

81. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms, or any rights or obligations under them, without SHLA's prior written consent. SHLA may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets.

82. Changes to the Terms

SHLA reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Where changes are material, SHLA will provide reasonable advance notice, such as through an in-app notification or email to the address associated with your account, before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any modified Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account in accordance with Section 54.

83. Governing Law

Governing Law: Arab Republic of Egypt.

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the Service, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved before the competent courts of the Arab Republic of Egypt unless otherwise required by applicable law.
